Destiny 2’s Deep Perk Season Is Fuelling the Crucible

Season of the Deep brought with it many new weapons with unique perks for Destiny 2. One such perk, known as Collective Action, gives a damage bonus when collecting Elemental Pickups like Void Breaches or Firesprites; making this perk especially potent in PVE playthrough but having even greater potential impact when put to PVP use.

Collective Action grants an increase of 20% damage that lasts 11 seconds, stacking with other damage bonuses like Elemental Surge mods to form an effective damage increase that rivals Kill Clip’s without needing kills to trigger it. One effective strategy to take advantage of Collective Action right now would be running a Behemoth Titan with the Tectonic Harvest aspect enabled, creating Stasis Shards whenever crystals are destroyed and Stasis Shards created as Stasis Shards from your destructions.

Add Elemental Charge, with its increased chance to gain Armor Charge when collecting Elemental Pickups like Stasis Shard, plus two Void Surge mods, and Targeted Redaction can two tap Guardians at any resilience. Combine two Void Surge mods and Collective Action perk damage levels of Targeted Redaction for headshots (101 total damage on headshots); plus this combination enables two precision hits per Guardian that could kill them instantly! Watch Fallout’s recent video demonstration.

Behemoth Titans have several options when it comes to producing Stasis Crystals on their own: Glacier Grenades can easily do this task or they could use Hoarfrost-Z Exotic as part of an elaborate defense against attacks such as making Stasis Walls with their barricade wall into crystal walls.

So it seems we may have yet another Destiny 2 perk which may prove relatively inoffensive during PVE gameplay but could totally alter PVP encounters. Bungie could change how this perk operates or even disable it entirely in PvP as soon as this strategy gains steam; so if you want to test out its effects before its functionality changes. If interested, give this test run soon as its implementation may cause trouble later.
