Insiders teased GTA 6 Cuba map and 1980s flashbacks by offering teases of their GTA 6 Cuba map as well as 80s flashbacks from an insider source.
One day soon enough, Grand Theft Auto VI will finally arrive. Even at this late date, we could all use some kind of confirmation from Rockstar that this game is real – something to reassure us it isn’t all just some elaborate dreamlike vision, as sometimes it seems.
At present, all we can do is speculate. There’s plenty to work from though: since Rockstar confirmed Grand Theft Auto VI existed and then during a major cyber attack which leaked development footage online last September – at their latest earnings call they hinted that GTA VI should release sometime between April 2024-2025 so we should soon know its release date – one industry insider claims GTA VI may feature an 80s flashback that partly takes place in Cuba; fascinating!
GTA VI may take place in Vice City. With that being the case, this amazing mod can give us some idea of what to expect when GTA 6 releases.
YouTuber Tyler McVicker claims to possess inside knowledge on GTA VI, saying in one recent stream: “We already know how GTA VI will end; spoilers: Bonnie and Clyde from back in like the 1930s died from gunfire; there won’t be three playable characters but just two; there’s also time leap involved; it takes place mostly around Miami Florida with some part taking place in Cuba; drug lords feature prominently; bank robberies take place, too – we should expect its release sometime between 2024-2025.”
McVicker does not cite any sources and lacks experience working with Rockstar, so his speculation can only be considered educated guesswork. Last year, Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier noted that while GTA VI’s modern day setting had yet to be confirmed by Rockstar, flashbacks could potentially occur; shortly thereafter rumor of Cuba setting surfaced back in April.
Last year’s leak allegedly showed development footage depicting Jason and Lucia resembling Bonnie and Clyde; this does not guarantee they’ll meet an unfortunate end like in real life; take McVicker’s guesses with caution but it is intriguing how similar theories and rumours keep popping up every now and then.
