Skyrim mod recreates Elder Scrolls Online’s Morthal Barrow as an interactive, voiced quest dungeon with this mod for Skyrim.
Modders have made immense efforts to ensure Skyrim remains relevant in today’s ever-evolving and expanding gaming landscape since its initial release into public sphere.
Many have used their custom mods to change the game by including cool gear, challenging boss battles and majestic player homes into it; with some even giving Dragonborns the opportunity to help Bethethor’s sister take over his shop or casting some spells inspired by Magnus.
Are you up for taking an unforgettable journey through one of Elder Scrolls Online’s iconic Dungeons remade in Skyrim? If so, have I got something special lined up.
Morthal Barrow is the latest mod by Penrutet, previously responsible for transporting ESO’s Taarengrav to fourth era Tamriel as recently unearthed ruin that you can explore.
Now they are applying this same treatment to Morthal Barrow in Skyrim – although existing as an unmarked location it cannot be entered or even compares favorably to its version encountered during ESO’s “Danger in the Holds” quest.
Inspired by this version, Penrutet created a fully fledged and lore-friendly dungeon at this location within vanilla Skyrim that serves as the setting for “a short voiced quest reminiscent of The Elder Scrolls Online’s Greymoor chapter and its “Dark Heart of Skyrim” storyline”.
On this adventure with an estimated recommended level of at least 10, you will face off against some new enemy varieties while adding new spells to your repertoire and engaging in two unique scripted boss battles – plus three artefacts possessing one-of-a-kind enchantments!
Beginning your quest ‘No Rest for the Wicked’ requires visiting a barrow and discovering a journal; this will lead you on your search for an infiltrating spell to break into the ruin’s crypt area.
Once you complete a mod’s mission, its barrow will transform automatically into ” a regular radiant quest enabled Nordic crypt. However, Penrutet advises using Underthesky and Z65536’s Encounter Zone Unlocked SE to ensure its enemies adapt accordingly.”
