Far Cry 3 Remake Trailer Reveals Vaas as Being Most Dangerous Ever Before
Far Cry 3 has been recreated using Unreal Engine 5, making the Ubisoft open world and villain Vaas even more deadly than before.
Fans have done amazing things with Unreal Engine 5, whether creating new projects such as Anime Tokyo or revamping top games such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time or Grand Theft Auto IV with stunning remakes.
Now, Far Cry 3 has received updated visuals as well, with stunning results: crystal-clear waters, vibrant foliage and an alluring blue sky adorning its tropical Rook Islands for all to admire.
TeaserPlay recently shared a concept trailer of their remake on YouTube, taking viewers through shimmering golden beaches, lush jungle terrain and island shacks located throughout. Notably, this remake wasn’t the first Far Cry remake either as they recently gave the OG version an incredible makeover as well.
The trailer also offered fans an updated glimpse at one of the main antagonists – charismatic yet unpredictable Vaas – one they may recognize from previous Marvel franchise films. Hearkening back to earlier renditions where Vaas would come out swinging from unpredictable and unexpected ways is exciting yet terrifying all at the same time!
Far Cry 3 released in 2012 put players into the role of Jason Brody, an irreverent party animal on an island vacation who finds themselves taken hostage by Vaas’ group before having to escape death and insanity alone. To escape their nightmare they must find friends while fighting pirates, surviving hostile wildlife, escaping pirate attacks and finding ways to survive their experience in Far Cry 3.
Far Cry 3 remains one of the series’ best games to this day and remains fondly remembered by its fan base today, many who hail it as “masterpiece”. Additionally, 2018 brought us Far Cry 3: Classic Edition which brought it onto modern consoles.
Unreal Engine 5’s beautifully recreated remake of Far Cry 3 is absolutely mesmerizing and seeing Vaas return as an iconic gaming villain is truly inspiring. Perhaps we may see more of him in future Far Cry titles as his return as playable character was revealed through Far Cry 6 DLC with its secret ending that showed that he survived events of Far Cry 3, sparking much speculation that Vaas could play an even larger part in Far Cry 7.
