Warzone developers face the challenging task of maintaining an even playing experience for all its players.

As players begin stepping back into Season 4, they’re still trying to adjust to how recent weapon buffs and nerfs have altered things.

Call of Duty’s battle royale mode has received another seasonal update that introduces two weapons – the Tempus Razorback and ISO 45 – into its arsenal; some older weapons continue to stand out while others have fallen behind in performance.

An increase in player health has prompted one fan to claim that its implementation has altered existing weapons’ performances irreparably, thus rendering some obsolete.

Reddit user ThisMemeWontDie believes the increase of player health to 150 points has “killed certain guns,” previously dominating in action games.

Marksman rifles (EBR, TAQ-M and SO-14 models) have been severely diminished with health changes made available via patches to Warzone 1. Furthermore, this sudden decrease in performance echoes what occurred with its original Warzone: similar modifications took months to buff Marksman rifles up again after changes were implemented to their health profiles.

Others believe there are still viable options available as part of a loadout strategy.

User No_Bar6825 notes, “(The) long range (weapon) meta is still decent despite fewer marksman rifles to compete against other weapons in your arsenal. At least that is something positive.”
