PlayStation Plus subscribers have only recently discovered an “authentic next-gen title” within Extra.
June has been another promising month for PlayStation Plus subscribers, with some incredible new offerings to both Extra and Premium tiers, along with free monthly games and other goodies being made available to them. Also announced this month was cloud streaming functionality being trialed among Premium subscribers which once available will enable them to stream PlayStation 5 titles without downloading and installing them prior to playback.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart has long been one of the top games included with PlayStation Plus Extra; now subscribers are rediscovering it as a great “next-gen game”.
Rift Apart was developed by Insomniac Games exclusively for PlayStation 5 and has received widespread praise. A Reddit post by Uniteddreamer highlighted this exclusive title from Insomniac with Uniteddreamer commenting, ‘I can’t believe I let this game slip by me…!’ and receiving over 90 comments that praise its gameplay and graphics which take full advantage of PS5 capabilities.
One reviewer described Rift as being “A true next-gen game”, while another responded with, “I can’t believe I let this franchise slip by me, since playing Rift, I have played four other installments and enjoyed them immensely!” One subscriber also offered their opinion claiming Rift as using its next-generation potential perfectly: it “utilizes its actual next gen-ness so well!”
