Call of Duty Complaints Department – June 2023

As another month draws to a close, Call of Duty complaints department has opened once more. June is usually considered quiet for Call of Duty franchise as annual cycle comes to an end, yet both Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 fans continue to drop into gameplay action and cause headaches for developers.

This month saw the debut of Season 4 and Vondel map, earning many community members approval of this seasonal update. Modern Warfare 2 saw several bug fixes but this did not prevent players from discussing its frustration-inducing qualities.

On April 12th 2023, Activision revealed a cosmetics bundle which transports players back to 2009 – during the peak of Modern Warfare 2 cycle 1. You’ll get access to weapon sound changing capabilities as well as various cosmetic items!

One Warzone expert noticed during Season 4, that a blue dot weapon reticle outperformed all other default selections; however, in order to gain this edge it required spending money.

In anticipation of Season 4, Call of Duty released an exciting cinematic trailer showcasing Vondel in fast-paced action and at its conclusion revealing Amazon Prime’s The Boys as its next crossover event.

Season 4 Reloaded has seen the arrival of an Operator named Butch; does Billy Butcher want to move his battle from Vought to Vondel?

This track even features some of Captain Price’s voice lines from Modern Warfare 2.

Microsoft was narrowly edged out as June’s top story by its efforts to add Call of Duty publisher Activision as one of its studios, however the battle sadly fell just short as Activision refused to work on an Xbox version of Call of Duty to secure new revenue deals and so make an agreement between themselves and Microsoft instead.

Should a deal have not been struck, Call of Duty might not have come out on Xbox at the same time as PlayStation and PC.

TimtheTatman and Nickmercs made headlines for June’s complaints department after becoming the first content creators with playable Operator skins in Warzone and Modern Warfare 2, respectively. Unfortunately, both skins have since vanished within just weeks.

Following his tweet and subsequent criticism from followers, Nickmercs’ skin was removed first by Activision; later Tim asked them to withdraw his cosmetics bundle as well. At present it’s unknown whether these bundles will ever make their return into in-game store sales.

Call of Duty complaints department has officially wrapped for another month! In July we’ll delve back in and assess what’s been stirring among CoD players – will Season 4 Reloaded bring another round of changes that fans want? Only time will tell.
