Rockstar Games may have just dropped some big hints about GTA 4 Remake!
As is often the case, another day brings with it yet another Grand Theft Auto rumor — though perhaps surprising that none is directly tied to GTA VI!
Rumors swirl of an impending Red Dead Redemption remake or remaster. Rockstar Games’ 2010 classic has earned universal acclaim as an exceptional video game; consequently, some gamers consider Red Dead Redemption one of their all-time favourites and expect fans to demand both nostalgia and hopefully an improved experience from Rockstar Games’ 2010 masterpiece.
Rumors surrounding a Red Dead Redemption remake/remaster have circulated since 2022, when Rockstar Games cancelled both projects so as to focus on developing Grand Theft Auto VI exclusively. Unfortunately, those rumors were seemingly put to bed when their website was recently updated with fresh reports suggesting both projects weren’t officially cancelled but rather their development had simply halted temporarily.
According to Metro and leaked by leaker Ben (@videotechx), speculation over Red Dead Redemption and GTA IV being remastered/remade has led many fans to anticipate seeing Niko Bellic and co, alongside new iterations of John Marston’s family return in an updated form in 2024. As reported by Take-Two Interactive’s parent company Rockstar Games’ plans on releasing two “previously released titles” during its fiscal 2024 year which runs up until March 2024 has confirmed as much.
Given all of the recent speculation and reports surrounding Red Dead Redemption remaster/remake plans and GTA IV being in development simultaneously, I think we can safely assume both projects could soon see release. Of course, all speculation should be taken with caution until proven otherwise; nevertheless I firmly believe there’s nothing bogus out there so watch this space for updates!
As previously announced by Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto V made its triumphant return to Xbox Game Pass this week along with an improved new-gen edition! Hurrah!
