Starfield will eventually get its own multiplayer mode! It’s only a matter of time before this happens.
Starfield looks set to be an impressive experience – which explains why Bethesda took so long in creating it!
There will be over 1,000 planets in Starfield – that’s right – though only 10% contain life; that still equals 100 planets with numerous outposts and cities like New Atlantis; the other 90% will hold essential resources that you must collect; romance options will return; there are romance choices; however; it seems inevitable: Starfield marks the return of The Adoring Fan as we play through an expansive Star Map map which offers everything except multiplayer mode but knowing Bethesda fans, one is almost assuredly coming sooner rather than later!
Starfield will launch on PC and Xbox in April 2016, and Todd Howard has already noted its modder-friendliness; therefore it likely won’t take long until multiplayer mods come out, although these would only affect PC users. Reddit user B0Lty_Qc initiated discussion by asking, “Would we expect multiplayer mods soon after launch or will it take more time? And what are your opinions regarding [multiplayer mods].?”
“I think we will eventually come together on this.” JoJoisaGoGo replied that while it might take time, she felt confident of its eventuality. If memory serves correctly, the people behind Skyrim multiplayer mod have claimed that making it work on FO4 wouldn’t be too challenging due to how similar both games are; perhaps something similar may happen with Starfield? At least there wouldn’t be issues when flying ships across.
MisterWoodhouse said “I know we will see multiplayer mods at some point; however, given the size and scope of this game I doubt they’d arrive shortly after launch unless work done for Fallout and Skyrim multiplayer mods can be leveraged heavily to gain a headstart; modders successfully implemented multiplayer capabilities into Hogwarts Legacy earlier this year so my faith in Bethesda modding community remains high.”
