An individual trying to complete Bloodborne on PlayStation Plus appears to have lost all their progress towards attaining Platinum, seemingly due to temporary losing their subscription.

Bloodborne, the popular FromSoftware title available exclusively on PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers for download and play is now accessible for PlayStation users to experience the eldritch horror aesthetic that sets this game apart.

Soulslike game FromSoftware’s award-winning Elden Ring. As such, players have dedicated many hours of playback time and effort to beating this title 100% and collecting its PlayStation trophies.

GlennWantsCream had planned on following through their strategy until only one trophy remained to earn; unfortunately however, something went terribly wrong and all their saved data mysteriously vanished…

Reddit user said “I just redownloaded Bloodborne and noticed all my saves are gone… (just needed Pthumerian Queen for platinum). Below are a few details I can add…I always had PS Plus when playing Bloodborne; during an absence for about seven days my subscription fell away but no bloodborne was played during this time period; therefore repurchased PS Plus prior to downloading Bloodborne; although when downloading, accidentally opened before 100% completed download… Any suggestions?”

No one would deny how heartbreaking it can be when your save file vanishes unexpectedly – especially when nearly 100% progress was already achieved, as in this Fallout 4 player who must now begin again from scratch.

But no one seems sure what has gone wrong or if their saved file can even be restored. Reddit users provided solutions in comments; it remains unknown whether GlennWantsCream received their save data back.

“Downloaded game content does not fall within the purview of PlayStation Plus; your save would instead reside locally on your console; either way it may have become corrupt or deleted in error.”

“This also happened to me and was automatically resolved after playing for several hours using a new savefile, possibly some form of update/sync occurring within the game itself.

No matter its cause, glitches or not, such an unfortunate way to end a 100% playthrough. FromSoftware games can already be challenging enough without needing to start from the beginning once more!
