Boys’ Homelander officially confirmed for Mortal Kombat 1.
As expected, The Boys’ Homelander will indeed make her Mortal Kombat 1 debut on 19 September – as was accidentally revealed via The Boys’ social media accounts!
If you haven’t watched The Boys yet, now would be an opportune time to start! Just yesterday it was revealed that Homelander, Starlight and Black Noir would make an appearance in Call of Duty: Warzone with tomorrow’s release of Season 4 Reloaded update; soon afterwards Gen V is scheduled to debut and promises even greater shock value – while later still season four (described by cast members as “sick as hell”) arrives with its season four episodes (delivered via Netflix). And just in case that wasn’t enough rumours were confirmed – with Homelander appearing even later today in Mortal Kombat 1.
Homelander was confirmed over on The Boys’ TikTok account but someone may have made an oversight in regards to Mortal Kombat collaboration as someone asked about this possibility in one of its videos announcing Call of Duty crossover news, according to Dexerto’s reports. As reported by this source, their official account replied with the words, “MK confirmed.” They then added, “Homelander will become available at some point – that is all we can say.”
Follow-up comments do make the initial confirmation seem unnecessary; nevertheless, it’s great that Homelander is now official; although more details about base and Kameo roster will likely arrive before September launches (I assume).
Redditors on Reddit were delighted at this collaboration, writing comments such as, “Cool cool, so this means Omni-Man is more probable now” while ARROW_GAMER shared that they and the boys would try recreating their death battle together. Finally, TheLionsblood joked “Antony Starr realising they will soon become even more memeable when modders access his character model for Mortal Kombat 1. So true-more memes is always better!”
