GTA 6 will finally bring back chainsaws after 14 years!
Un unconfirmed report from one of Grand Theft Auto VI’s developers appears to indicate that Rockstar may return with chainsaw melee weapons in Rockstar’s next title, possibly including chainsaw as melee weaponry.
Rockstar Games still hasn’t commented on Grand Theft Auto VI, likely still under development and unlikely to come out this year. Given the massive scale of this open world title, this should come as no surprise.
Rockstar Games has kept quiet about their next title for an inexplicably extended amount of time now and fans are growing impatient, fearing they might die before seeing its release date. Even minor bits of official information would greatly interest fans within this community – even the slightest indication would help build anticipation!
Such was the case when an apparent Rockstar India developer revealed information on GTA V via an undeleted LinkedIn post, suggesting they’d built some assets used in it.
These assets included “interior prop labels”, such as fire extinguishers, chainsaws, electric boards, boat motors and car engines. Notably this suggests chainsaws – popular weapons from previous GTA games like San Andreas and Vice City – may return for GTA VI; something sure to excite many fans!
While Rockstar has yet to confirm this rumor, it aligns perfectly with other reports about GTA VI; for example, legacy locations like Vice City will feature prominently. As reported previously by Giant Bomb and Game Informer respectively, GTA VI seems like it could combine elements from previous GTA games while adding new features and activities for players to do in its world.
Fans eagerly anticipate Rockstar Games’ remake of Grand Theft Auto IV as well as GTA VI are keeping tabs on legacy locations in both games, which were teased by Rockstar parent company Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar themselves.
Grand Theft Auto VI may seem far away, but when it finally does release it will be available across Xbox Series X/S consoles, PlayStation 5 and PC platforms.
