TOTAL WAR PHARAOH FACTIONS LISTING – THE 8 PLAYABLE LEADER AVAILABLE AT LAUNCH

Pharaoh Total War is a game that explores the tumultuous history of Egypt, marked by invasions, social instability and empire collapse. We take the role of one of its leader and try to lead our group into victory.

Total War: Pharaoh factions allows us to choose from eight different options at the start of the game, with each one led by a historical figure. Each leader has a different approach to winning the throne. Below, we will go over what we currently know about them.

Total War: Pharaoh Forces List

Total War: Pharaoh’s factions are divided into three different cultures. Egyptians generally field light armored forces, and they rely on tactics like hit-and run, and the use of chariots to gain an advantage.

The Hittites have well-armored troops and prefer to use a direct, forceful approach. The adaptable Canaanites also use their position as the underdogs in order to remain flexible during battle.

The developer has confirmed the following faction leaders will be available when Total War: Pharaoh is released.

Ramesses

He is the historical last great ruler of Egypt’s New Kingdom. His leadership style is characterized by speed and intuitiveness.

Ramesses begins in Sinai on the border of Canaan. His unit roster, which is made up of elite warriors, archers and charging chariots, relies on medium infantry and strong chariots. Losses hurt his faction more.

The player has two court cases per turn, along with unique buildings which increase happiness and influence. They also reduce costs and improve recruitment.

Seti (Egyptian language)

His impatience, ferocity, and lack of diplomatic skills see him ignoring any solutions that could be found through diplomacy, instead preferring to settle disagreements by fighting.

Seti begins in Hardai with a unit list that is dominated by weaker, cheaper units. These can be written off as disposable. The higher numbers shouldn’t encourage him to be reckless, because he may still have a shortage of men.

Tausrett is on friendly terms with him when he begins his campaigns. The unique structures he has built increase recruitment slots and unit morale while decreasing cost. They also produce more resources at the expense of worker happiness.

Tausrett (Egyptian)

She was a brilliant politician who fought prejudice all her life. She is a strong and resilient woman who will be ready to take the throne if Seti fails. Her faction is capable in war, diplomacy and finance.

Tausrett starts her campaign in Upper Egypt’s deserts, in Yebu. The unit list of her chariots shows that she has the most powerful army over the long term.

Her unique structure improves resource production. She is initially more friendly towards Setti.

Amenmesse (Egyptian)

Though a member of the Royal Court, he is bitter about being passed over in line of succession. He is willing to form alliances with foreigners if it will give him an advantage over his rivals.

Amenmesse, the Viceroy for Kush is based in the South. The strength of his unit list is due to the archers, who can destroy enemies even before they close in on them. However, this comes with a price.

His standing is already established in Egyptian courts. While sacrificing his influence, his unique structures increase workforce growth, production of resources, and diplomatic relationships with non-Egyptian groups.

Irsu (Canaanite)

He leads a faction of destructive thugs who do not care about unity or harmony. They prefer to pillage, raid and plunder everything in an attempt to ruin Egypt.

Irsu has a roster of heavy, tough units with strong armor. He is also able to quickly recruit new soldiers.

Bay (Canaanite)

Bay, who is described as an expert manipulator and supreme survivor, will appear weak and friendly to deceive opponents. Bay is aware of the fact that relationships, just like conquests, can help him achieve his goals.

Bay has a strong unit roster, with ambushers that are capable of both Vanguard Deployment as well as Stalk and Sneak. Bay’s face-to-face and chariot units are weaker, but his ability to steal units from other players makes up for these shortcomings.

Suppiluliuma (Hittite)

He is the last Great Hittite King and faces multiple attacks while juggling limited resources. He can form alliances because of his honorable character, connections to noble families, and reputation for being a great fighter. He wants to protect the kingdom and prevent Kurunta’s ascendance to power.

Suppiluliuma relies heavily on a large number of medium and heavy units. He also has a strong defense. However, his ranged abilities are weak.

Kurunta (Hittite)

Kurunta, a successionist who is power-hungry and has psychopathic tendencies in Total War Pharaoh, may not be the most friendly faction leader. He believes he is the god-avatar and tries to use every advantage possible to control Anatolia.

Kurunta’s roster of units is dominated by mercenaries, heavily armored troops and frontal attacks. The ranged unit is not available to him.

This is all we currently know about Total War Pharaoh: Pharaoh factions and leaders that will be playable when the game launches.
