Bully fans still long for an updated remake.
Rockstar Games appears to be hard at work developing a remake of Red Dead Redemption that may soon see release.
Rumours regarding Rockstar Games Presents Red Dead Redemption have swirled for some time now, and gained greater traction last month when South Korean ratings board listed a new version. Following that development, logo was seemingly added to Rockstar’s website that confirmed it’s title as Rockstar Games Presents Red Dead Redemption; insiders believe this to be a remake rather than remaster; one insider even stated the remake could launch on Switch! We still await official confirmation from Rockstar on all this; fans excited by this prospect have begun discussing which other titles could possibly see remake/remaster treatment – most notably Bully.
Bully first made its debut back in 2006 and centers around James “Jimmy” Hopkins – an academy student. Players complete classes and missions as they try and become popular at school (though Jimmy may not always be likeable!). Although commercial and critical success followed its release, not enough was achieved for it to spawn another sequel; fans would love for its revival now however!
Reddit user Hitesh_R_ kicked off the discussion by asking which Rockstar games fans want remade or remastered, with “I just want a Bully Remaster,” written by TiredReader87 as their response; another user added, “Would love Bully 2 on its way”. That seemed to be a popular viewpoint: Mattock1987 concurred, saying they think “A Bully sequel would be amazing”.
SupaFro_ argued for the need for a sequel of Bully with updated and expanded features including adding online Bullworth characters. Rockstar Studios would do an outstanding job parodying Netflix high school culture spoofs; remakes seem inevitable so this may happen anyways.” Stranger things have happened.
