Starting now, Starfield spinoff RPG can be enjoyed for free.
As Starfield nears, we all are finding ways to cope with its long-awaited launch as best we can.
Some of us are shopping feverishly for Starfield bundles because after convincing ourselves for months that we didn’t need it, only to realize we truly do need the game. Others have taken to watching every bit of footage in an effort to piece together its map, skill tree and any other features they find intriguing in it.
One especially talented fan has taken it upon themselves to build their own Starfield RPG while waiting. That is an awesome move!
Sorry, but your video player failed to load (Error Code 101102). Over on the Starfield subreddit, one fan called Bridneus has created something truly incredible: an interactive tabletop RPG adventure inspired by Starfield known as Planetfield! I am truly speechless by such talent!
Players in this one-page RPG become members of The Zodiac, an ensemble of space explorers responsible for exploring outer space in search of fragments belonging to an Eldritch Apparatus that are scattered about.
Bridneus noted, “it can be played solo (obviously).” To play it solo you will require pencil, some colored pencils/paint to color planets/stars as well as an electronic or physical die. “Everything needed can be found at home….”
No matter if you play alone or with others, Starfield seems like the ideal way to ease into its launch next month. With thousands of planets to discover and plenty of content waiting in Bethesda’s massive open world RPG, I like starting off small to quickly get myself ready!
Starfield will launch on 1 September for those with Early Access and 6 September for everyone else, however there may be ways of playing earlier if desired.
