Grab your seat folks; according to the latest trailer for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III it appears we may be heading back to Verdansk!

Since its official announcement this week, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III has left fans buzzing with excitement for what promises to be another captivating chapter in this rebooted storyline.

While some may be wary about Modern Warfare III’s multiplayer component – which will displace post-launch support provided in Modern Warfare II – most are eagerly awaiting another mission with Captain Price and her squad!

Yesterday, excitement for Call Of Duty WWII continued to build when another trailer for the game dropped, this one featuring fan favourite Makarov who made his first appearance near the end of Modern Warfare II campaign. While most have focused on Makarov’s appearance and what might he get up to next time out in campaign, sharp-eyed viewers noticed an allusion to Verdansk from Warzone Map series as part of Makarov’s look-back in Modern Warfare II campaign mode.

Verdansk was featured as one of the map selections in Call Of Duty Warzone when first released, yet later switched for Caldera much to fan dismay and they have demanded its return since 2021.

Makarov trailer offers us glimpses of prison and stadium area, which suggests its return in some capacity during Modern Warfare III events.

How it will come back is still unknown; however, its possible that Warzone could use it simply as a backdrop or setting for cutscenes or missions in campaign missions; or maybe its comeback is something which excites player bases more directly.
