PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S receiving massive free RPG titles
New-generation console owners continue to receive special treats with news that both PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series will soon get DC Universe Online for free!
Gematsu reported this announcement on 15 August; you can get all the details yourself at DCUO website. Amongst a host of announcements is one regarding Xbox and PlayStation players becoming “extra fortunate this holiday season”.
According to Ted Stone, Senior Community Manager, his team is working on gameplay and quality-of-life improvements that match player desires; this initiative represents a long-term effort already in progress.”
“Over the next several months leading up to release on new consoles, some improvements will start appearing at launch or over time; stay tuned for an upcoming update with more details!”
Though Xbox and PS players will certainly welcome change, change can sometimes cause anxiety for gamers – particularly when there’s the possibility that new servers could come into the picture. DCUO assures their fans they will “still be playing on the same servers, with your same characters and friends”, plus all purchases and achievements made along the way will remain seamlessly intact.
No one can guarantee it will go smoothly, so don’t blame us if your transfer does not go according to plan. From what we understand and what DCUO have indicated, all it should take for your account transfer to take effect should be login using your existing credentials – then everything should work seamlessly!
With Baldur’s Gate 3, Starfield and an abundance of titles coming to PlayStation Plus (sorry Xbox owners!), 2018 looks set to be an action-packed year!
DCUO will make its way onto PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series this December.
