The gamers have been amazed by the quality games released this year. They are marking 2023 as an excellent year to play single-player games.

As the close of the year draws near and people begin to start thinking about what game should win the title of Game Of The Year, numerous have reflected on the most exciting games to are out there.

There’s been some incredible AAA release on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo as well as PC platforms. These include The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Starfield, Sea of Stars and numerous others.

There’s been something for everybody, but there’s been no winners more than those who enjoy an old-fashioned, single-player experience. Many more are in the works including The Super Mario RPG remake, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Expansion.

It’s not that there weren’t some great multiplayer games however, it’s clear that 2023 was an amazing year for people looking to play an interesting story that isn’t the noise and bustle of servers online.

Reddit user scarletandsophia is certainly convinced according to her post: “Kind of satisfying seeing this year’s dominance being driven by games that are single-player, such as Baldurs Gate, Starfield, Phantom Liberty, etc. After various gaming companies had tried for years to trick gamers into thinking that their games aren’t worthy of playing.”

The fans were unanimous and said that, while games that require a single player have been well-loved, 2023 has featured several amazing games so far.

“Jrpgs have had the most successful year since the 1990s.”

“Single-player gamers unite.”

It’s hard to believe we’re only just beginning to finish the major releases of this year. And with awards season approaching it’s likely that the contest will be intense.
