Assassin’s Creed Black Flag 2 has proven itself an overwhelming favorite with fans worldwide.
Fans have taken notice and been very enthusiastic in their praise of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag 2, declaring themselves to have been quite surprised with its quality.
In case you missed it, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag now has its sequel but unfortunately not in video game form.
As its title indicates, this webcomic chronicles Black Flag’s protagonist Edward Kenway after the events of its plotline have concluded and follows both present-day characters who’ve been captured by Abstergo and forced to recall memories from Kenway and China as part of an experimental memory-jogging technique called retrogaming.
While not the continuation fans were hoping for, seeing Edward in another story can only bring joy; many had been hoping for either an official sequel to Black Flag, or at the very least something following another character from Kenway family.
One fan, named yes-yes-yes-yes (great name!), wondered out aloud just how many had read Forgotten Temples webcomic: “Have any of you guys been reading Assassin’s Creed Forgotten Temples yet?… I was very pleasantly surprised with its excellent writing and faithful depiction of game elements – what are your opinions?”
Responses were varied: some said they loved the experience while others didn’t realize its existence and still others gave it a go but weren’t enthusiastic.
“I love Noa’s reactions to Edward’s situations and being inside of the Animus! Plus it is great seeing more modern-day lore about how Edward changed after Black Flag,” stated one fan. Another raved: “I had forgotten all about it until today – looking forward to diving right in!”
According to reports, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag will reportedly receive a complete remake for next-gen platforms; fans are hoping that while expanding on its gameplay and open world elements like sea shanties makes this remake special in itself.
