Early Access for OPEN WORLD SURVIVAL GAME The FRONT This October
Samar Studio announced today that their open world survival game The Front will make an early access debut on October 11, 2023.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world, The Front challenges us to survive against mutants, brutal imperial forces, thugs and more as we try to gather resources, build bases and avoid death as much as possible – while also discovering “a battle that will decide the fate of humanity”.
The Front’s features will be familiar to genre veterans, from base building and planting crops, through harvesting them and cooking meals.
Recruitment NPCs could come in handy when we encounter dark ruins full of terrifying monsters without our friends’ assistance.
Biomes and modern vehicles, from trucks to helicopters, make up part of this package.
Here is a breakdown of The Front’s key features ahead of its early launch, according to its developer:
Build Your Own Shelter: With hundreds of building components at hand to meet any creative need or limitation in terrain or ideas, creating your dream shelter should not be limited by anything but imagination!
Unique Tower Defense Gameplay: Take control of enemy routes and set traps combining sensing, triggering, and killing in order to repel an invasion by monsters such as bomb maniacs, stealthy assassins, flying soldiers etc.
Create and drive contemporary vehicles: Construct and operate over 20 types of modern vehicles ranging from pickup trucks, logging trucks and mining trucks to anti-aircraft guns and helicopter gunships.
Logical Circuit: Build complex mechanisms using simple electrical parts by connecting them in series; for instance, creating an active defense system which detects and attacks any threats to your base automatically is just such an example of such an approach.
Recruitment of NPCs: Jammers can be used to capture world NPCs for recruitment into battle and crafting tables are an ideal forum to demonstrate their talents – this may bring additional buffs related to time, output, durability or any other aspect.
Planting and Cooking: Build water-powered equipment to develop your own agriculture by automatically spraying and planting seeds; additionally, there are plenty of recipes that provide delicious dishes!
Discover a post-apocalyptic world: traverse deserts, rainforests, snow covered terrain and swamps while uncovering unknown areas such as underground institutes or military exclusion zones; collect drawings as you go and grab airdrops!
Once it goes live in early access, The Front will offer us 60 levels of progression that include collecting equipment, weapons and ground/air vehicles to create progress levels.
Starting October 11, 2023, The Front will be available on Steam and Epic Games Store for just $19.99 or the equivalent in your region.
During its launch week, this title will be discounted 20% and temporarily reduced to $15.99.
