Every new month means exciting games coming out on PlayStation Plus service and October is shaping up to be no different according to fans.

Members of PlayStation Plus are in for another thrilling month this October as three exciting titles make their way onto the service: Callisto Protocol, Farming Simulator 22 and Weird West are now available to download – fans have unanimously expressed excitement for such an eclectic offering!

Gamers took to r/PlayStationPlus to express their thoughts on this month’s selection, starting with The Callisto Protocol by Striking Distance Studios; an 2022 survival horror title serving as spiritual successor of Dead Space series. As per one user, The Callisto Protocol makes for “an excellent addition”; another was waiting eagerly for its arrival after hearing negative reviews at launch; currently sitting at “mixed” rating on Steam with many criticizing its unimaginative gameplay features.

One fan raved, “Weird West is absolutely fantastic – was almost convinced to purchase it several times but decided PS+ was also perfect!” This action RPG released in March 2022 is set in the Wild West where lawmen, gunslingers, and fantastical creatures exist harmoniously together. Although some users struggled with controlling this game they also agreed that its storyline (with werewolves, pigmen, and witches) made for an intriguing adventure!

Farming Simulator 22 is the latest installment of this long-running simulation franchise which challenges players with owning and operating a farm. One Reddit user expressed great enthusiasm about it as filling an “empty space” left by Stardew Valley; specifically “Honestly I find myself really looking forward to farming simulator. Recently when trying Stardew Valley for the first time it hooked me for 8 hours of gameplay but all I wanted to do in it was build my farm; everything else just felt boring to me compared with Farming Simulator”. “Honestly my excitement for farming simulator is growing by leaps and bounds compared with everything I was seeking in Stardew.”

November is set to follow October’s success by offering up Teardown on 15 November.
