Asmongold took aim at Starfield after playing Cyberpunk 2077. He lambasted its unfunny narrative.
Cyberpunk 2077 seems to be taking off right now, and for good reason. Since its 2.0 patch dropped recently, gamers everywhere are enjoying it more than ever – its visuals and gameplay look absolutely magnificent, drawing comparisons to Starfield which streamer Asmongold considers boring by comparison.
Asmongold previously expressed his distaste for Starfield; after streaming 10 hours of Cyberpunk 2077 he has solidified this sentiment by giving Cyberpunk 2077 another try, where his initial thought was, “Straight up Motherf**ker Wow!” Wow indeed – quite an impressive first impression indeed.
Asmongold, known for his playthroughs of RPGs and MMOs, recently commented, “Starfield convinced me I didn’t enjoy stories in games- perhaps I do; however, just not good ones like Starfield”. To prove his point he added “… just not any with bad endings…”.
Attracting his interest are Cyberpunk 2077’s edge and grit. According to one streamer, CD Projekt Red has managed to turn around an otherwise disappointing title from three years prior with this successful reboot of Cyberpunk 2077.
As is typical with Asmongold, his comments were straight to the point as he stated “You can’t polish a turd, but if there’s some quality hidden beneath its exterior then that game might work.” Additionally he made note that certain games just fundamentally stink d**k; these will remain that way forever without change being possible – an emphatic statement indeed!
Cyberpunk 2077 has transformed itself and is in an incredible place right now, thanks to an extraordinary effort that’s gone into it to turn things around. Everything about it feels fresher than ever; like playing an entirely different game! For players who waited, Cyberpunk 2077 now seems like the game of choice for both casual and competitive play alike.
Asmongold isn’t alone in his return to Night City; numerous Twitch drops as well as concurrent streaming and player numbers illustrate its recent revival.
