The GTA 6 tease release wasn’t what anyone anticipated!
At first blush, Grand Theft Auto VI’s announcement has left me both eager and nervous. Insiders and leakers have been dropping subtle clues for months or even years, but something feels different this month.
One insider recently suggested that Grand Theft Auto VI may make its full reveal on 26 October, which many found hard to take seriously. Since then, however, strange things have begun occurring that have many taking notice – a dataminer noticed changes made in Rockstar’s website backend. At the same time, Rockstar posted an image depicting the Vinewood sign with only V and I visible, creating further hype! GTA Forum staffers, too, are dropping slight hints.
Reddit user Ytdiuyf noticed GTA Forums staff seeming to hint towards an impending announcement via their Twitter user Mach1bud (also team at GTA Forums), who simply tweeted, “Soon.” Fans are wondering what knowledge Mach1bud may possess – previously, this user teased Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy Definitive Edition before it was officially unveiled – thus suggesting some kind of inside knowledge from Mach1.
Some fans remain dubious of his claim of release within three months; one user commented, Iff anyone here said soon,’ and it dropped in three months… they would technically also be suitable,” while Atomictomic22 saw otherwise, noting, “This guy’s legit actually, I remember meeting him before! Damn, we are close!”
