Fans believe Rockstar’s GTA 5 October content drops may be an indicator that Grand Theft Auto 6 may soon be revealed.
Grand Theft Auto 5 players suspect Rockstar may have revealed its content drops early to not interfere with GTA 6’s release later this month.
Fans have eagerly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI since its official announcement was teased earlier this year, and many remain convinced an announcement will take place before the end of March.
Given Rockstar’s previous game announcements – most notably Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, both revealed in late October -it seems likely they will do the same with Grand Theft Auto VI.
Fans believe this theory to be more compelling than ever after recent content drops for Grand Theft Auto Online that were made available to celebrate Halloween.
Reddit user TheRealCVDY noted in their post, stating: “Does anybody else find Rockstar is unleashing all they had planned for October in just the past few days? Their social media has been full of posts covering new or revived content in GTA Online over these last 3-4 days – much more active than usual!”
“Lastly, about GTA VI, could they be doing whatever is possible right now so everyone can enjoy it for another two weeks before teasing/announcing the game? Just speculation.”
Although purely speculation, it seems interesting that most new/returning content for Grand Theft Auto Online has been released early each month rather than staggered releases.
GTA VI gameplay leaks have already provided us with plenty of gameplay footage – most showing it unfinished but others revealing details about its massive open world, characters, and mysteries we will discover when exploring Vice City. Now more than ever it seems likely that Rockstar will deliver what fans have long desired and reveal the game that has been nearly 10 years in development.
GTA VI will launch on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and possibly PC platforms upon its release.
