Cyberpunk 2077 features an incredible GTA: San Andreas Easter egg!
As with any open world RPG, Cyberpunk 2077 boasts its fair share of hidden surprises ranging from pop culture nods and nods to other video game series to Easter eggs for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas hidden within Night City. One player recently discovered such an Easter egg.
Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City holds many secrets that only its inhabitants would know of, such as secret rooms designed to honor CD Projekt Red development team or features that demonstrate just how intricate an RPG really can be. At just three years old, there may still be surprises in store; one such Easter egg was recently found that pays a nod to one of Rockstar Games classic titles Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Discovered by Youtuber XGarbett, this secret in San Andreas is an eye-opener. In the video we see V visit a Night City food vendor found near Kendal Park fast travel point. Nearing this food stand, one customer speaks directly with a waitress ordering “two number-nines, one supersized and one regular”, an order which Big Smoke placed during his Drive-Thru scene in San Andreas.
Soon enough, this Easter egg made waves across social media – Grand Theft Auto fans were overjoyed at discovering its presence! Just one of several references made within Cyberpunk 2077 which include nods to The Witcher 3, Blade Runner, Star Wars and more franchises!
Remarks like these demonstrate how worth our investment CD Projekt Red has made in fixing Cyberpunk 2077 since its less-than-successful launch, even if that means spending over $120 million to fix its issues and ensure its sequel doesn’t repeat its errors.
