PlayStation Plus free game may be one of the greatest of all time – but that doesn’t make it the right fit for every single person.
PlayStation Plus extra and premium tier subscribers were treated to 15 new titles this month!
Not to be missed, highlights from PlayStation Plus extra and premium tier offerings for this month included Gotham Knights, Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, Alien Isolation and Dead Island: Definitive Edition. All things considered it has been an encouraging month following Sony’s PS Plus price increase announcement – particularly considering some lacklustre lineups seen since. Added with premium cloud streaming as well as Sony Pictures Core catalogue addition, price rise outrage seems to have subsided slowly over time. Now that players have had time with this month’s games one subscriber wants to know whether Disco Elysium is “boring” or uncultured trash”.
Disco Elysium is easily one of the greatest games ever created; I wouldn’t go as far as calling someone “uncultured trash”, however. However, not everybody enjoys playing it: Reddit user Prestigious_Event221 stated, “After about two or three hours playing this game I deleted it immediately; its reviews and comments intrigued me initially but once played I quickly got bored & left. My TV screen actually said, ‘Who cares!?!’ when there were statues being discussed during gameplay! Should I have given more time or is this simply not my cup of tea?”
Many agreed with my sentiment. JamaicaCZ wrote, “Disco is an incredible game but may not be for you”, while Keldpxowjwsn shared: “Disco is heavily story and dialogue driven and its writing ranks among some of the best in any medium – however if that type of storytelling doesn’t interest you it probably isn’t the game for you!”
Disco Elysium: The Final Cut by ZA/UM is an RPG in which players must solve a murder mystery, making for an exciting adventure if that is indeed what speaks to you! Give this game a chance today; only then can you truly determine whether or not this game fits with your playing style; otherwise you might miss out! If it does appeal to you then prepare to embark upon one helluva ride!
