Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 recently arrived for PlayStation 5, but one fan decided to port over his webhead onto an Xbox Series X console!
PlayStation fans might enjoy traversing New York as everyone’s beloved wallcrawler while Xbox players will likely look down upon Forza and Halo games with disdain.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has already won critical and fan acclaim, with many critics and players enthusiastically appreciating its excellent traversal system and stunning traversal speeds; some even go so far as refusing fast travel so they can swing and glide more often!
One Xbox fan took this as an opportunity and built an exquisite Spider-Man Series X console even though its games weren’t compatible with it.
Reddit user @FranKlau posted their spectacular Spider-Man 2 design as an Xbox Series X console modified with red paint in some areas, sporting white Spider-Man logo and sporting white Venom-symbiote attachment points on black parts that form Venom symbiotes taking over Spidey’s red parts – it truly is an artistic work!
Fans were shocked and bemused at this unfamiliar sight; many joked that Sony would soon come along and destroy an Xbox that shouldn’t exist.
One person responded that Sony wanted their location known, while another added, “My God, is that legal?” One humorous comment read, “Oh yes! BoxStation 5X.”
Perhaps, in another timeline where Xbox had gained access to Insomniac Games before PlayStation did, we may have received something like this to mark their game’s debut.
Fans have already begun speculate as to what will come next in Insomniac’s Marvel game universe. While Wolverine game remains their focus for release, Insomniac have also expressed interest in more Spider-Man spinoffs as well as plans for an eventual third title in its Marvel franchise.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is now exclusively available for PlayStation 5.
