Call of Duty fans appear dissatisfied with its latest installment, believing it to be nothing more than an expansion pack. Unfortunately, many appear to have expressed their displeasure by review bombing an incorrect game.

Assuming you all understand review bombing, let me be the one to describe this strategy of collective outrage among gamers when games include microtransactions or have prominent roles for people of color in them.

Modern Warfare 3 hasn’t exactly had the greatest start. From not including a Platinum Trophy to access issues over the weekend, fans are understandably dismayed that they were asked to pay full price for something which should have been DLC in last year’s Modern Warfare 2. Plus its campaign length clocking just four hours is not helping much either!

Modern Warfare 3 may only be accessible for early access users at present, yet these players remain deeply upset at Activision. These frustrations would normally manifest themselves through negative review scores on Metacritic; unfortunately due to Modern Warfare 3 not officially being available until 10 November critic and user scores cannot currently be posted at that site. As its 2011 counterpart is still visible however it seems this has caused further confusion among angry gamers.

As of this writing, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s user score had dropped significantly – down to an estimated score of 3.50 with numerous new reviews calling attention to issues within 2023 game.

Based on what we can tell so far, it seems unlikely the 2023 version’s user score on Metacritic will improve significantly – we should find out soon enough!
