Tekken 8 is another massive fighting game that will require plenty of storage space to store properly.
Fighting game fans are eagerly awaiting Tekken 8, the largest entry in its series so far. Not only will its roster and game modes impress gamers, but its 100 GB size means this fighter may well take up all available memory on any chosen gaming system.
Bandai Namco recently made known its PC specs of their fighter, through PC Gamer, revealing it would require at least 100GB on PC and likely even more for current-gen consoles as it comes out later this year.
Given Tekken 8 is one of the best-looking games in its series so far and boasts an impressive roster, its amount of space usage makes sense. Mortal Kombat 1 required about 100GB while Street Fighter 6 only consumed 60 GB – not too bad given what games did back then!
Unfortunately, 100GB games have become the new normal in gaming – especially AAA titles like Modern Warfare 3 which takes up more than 200GB despite having attractive visuals.
It appears Tekken 8 will be packed with features when released, offering both single-player content as well as online gameplay. Fans of Mishima family drama may especially appreciate Story Mode with its latest showdown between Jin and his father Kazuya; we hope Reina also sheds more light into her connection to Heihachi, rather than simply appearing like another child of Heihachi’s family tree.
Beyond its plot, fans will also love Arcade Mode with individual endings this time around, while there have also been leaks suggesting Tekken Force Mode may take some cues from Dynasty Warriors.
On January 26th 2024, Tekken 8 will arrive on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC – so be prepared for yet another 100GB monster on your storage.
