Elden Ring meets Valheim in this expansive new open-world RPG
Attentive players will want to monitor this forthcoming open-world adventure closely – it features underwater scenes, mountainous terrain that spans in every direction, fields with moving grasses responding to our protagonist and even fields where vegetation reacts in response to his or her presence.
Towers of Aghasba wears its influences proudly: Elden Ring can be found here and there in its darker moments; Valheim plays into this with mythology, legends of land use and base building elements, with touches from Zelda: Breath of the Wild as well.
Towers of Aghasba has only limited information available at present. On Steam’s page is an appealing trailer as well as stills taken during it, while it states, simply: ‘Towers of Aghasba offers players an open world experience where they can build vast settlements and develop ecosystems on an imaginary island.”
No release date or window have been given yet for Horizon Zero Dawn 2, yet what we see shows promise. In one moment in particular in this trailer we witness our hero effortlessly glide among huge creatures to set an epic scene; also present are biomes which harken back to Horizon Zero Dawn or feature post-apocalyptic landscapes with devastated wastelands that need replenishing by players themselves.
Rebuilding villages that were lost over time is the main focus of this game, although not physically as brick by brick – although you will create your village the way that best fits with its personality – as noted in its synopsis: “Express your creativity by developing your island how ever you please; explore Aghasba; connect with friends to share in showing off its wonder!”
