GTA 6 fans are already divided over its map size debate.
Grand Theft Auto fans have long debated the possible map size of Rockstar Games’ next entry in their iconic franchise – Grand Theft Auto VI – although no official information has been revealed from Rockstar at this time. Leaks from 2022 give us some indication as to its likely appearance; these may give a rough indication as well.
Reddit thread containing imagery of what may be GTA VI map can be seen side-by-side with GTA V map in leaked files, though certain details could have changed after Rockstar Games responded to data breach incident. Yet speculation continues in Reddit post!
Images of the new map have divided fans, with two camps emerging – those who view it as too vast and empty, and those who believe that its size suits it just right. A top comment in one thread read “The city is too small”, leading one player to reply that multiple cities must exist on its map rather than one large one being presented here.
From an overhead map view it can be hard to ascertain exactly what the city will resemble; verticality could play an integral part. Your preferences often depend on both how and how long you plan on playing the game – if time constraints limit how often you can devote yourself to gaming then smaller maps might suit better than bigger ones.
“Perfect Size and definitely will be denser and better designed like RDR2 was. And with more interiors!” states one Redditor. This was met by numerous comments ranging from, “Bad Map Because You Only Have Two Cities,” to: “I really Liked Broken up Coast Islands with Individualised City Areas:” which caused considerable debate from fans alike – only time will tell whether fans approve.
