As an Xbox enthusiast myself, I have amassed many Xbox Rewards points through playing specific games or completing challenges over time. These rewards points can easily be earned when completing these activities!
Microsoft offers generous rewards to players for exploring a new Xbox Game Pass title, unlocking an achievement or taking advantage of sales through Xbox Rewards app – this way they can spend these points to redeem for exciting prizes like gift cards for games released and DLC available through Xbox.
However, Xbox may soon discontinue the Xbox Rewards app in favor of an integrated experience on current platforms.
reports claim a player from Brazil noticed an announcement stating the app will be shutting down sometime around November, with rewards then accessible via an Xbox console’s “Rewards Hub.”
According to reports, Microsoft announced they have recreated, simplified, and integrated their Rewards experience on Xbox. Players no longer require separate apps in order to earn or redeem Rewards points with Xbox. As of December 2023 we will no longer publish offers within Microsoft Rewards app on Xbox, instead opting for activities within new Rewards hub.
According to their statement, this change aims to “simplify and streamline the Rewards experience for players”, providing information on upcoming offers and events at the same time.
Overall, it’s an absolute win – with its user-friendly way to claim and redeem points quickly becoming easier, you will no doubt quickly see some sweet rewards come into your possession for spending time gaming console.
