Hogwarts Legacy DLC’s tease leaves fans divided

After the success of Hogwarts Legacy earlier in 2018, no news has surfaced as to whether its story can be enhanced through DLC or even sequel releases.

Hogwarts Legacy’s debut in February 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S was met with immediate success: outselling Elden Ring sales by more than 60% within just five weeks and promising Game of the Year status at launch. Unfortunately for it however, 2023 soon moved forward without it ever reaching such greatness as once projected.

Hogwarts Legacy fans were left shocked and outraged after The Game Awards nominations for 7 December were recently revealed, since no nomination was given for Hogwarts Legacy as neither its design or sound were considered for consideration despite both games offering stunning visuals as well as sound. Hogwarts Legacy not only looks incredible; its music too is truly incredible!

But perhaps there’s some hope on the horizon; that is according to a job listing posted to Reddit by user ItsYaGirlConfusion at Hogwarts Legacy developer Avalanche Software and shared via Reddit post by ItsYaGirlConfusion of Avalanche Software’s Hogwarts Legacy developer Avalanche Software’s Job Portal by Avalanche Software itself indicating some type of potential new content coming to Hogwarts Legacy soon enough?

With Hogwarts Legacy having proven so lucrative for Warner Bros. Games, surely they should continue building upon it? Consider that Hogwarts Legacy made more than some of the Harry Potter movies combined!

Be mindful that Hogwarts Legacy does not appear directly in any job listing requirements; yet its game has proven popular when recruiting employees. One listing seeks a senior producer for Hogwarts Legacy with duties including working closely with team members on project schedule creation and providing updates to stakeholders.

“I hope they listen to us fans, because I would much prefer waiting longer for something that has much greater development, rather than getting something quickly with thin storyline and little replay value,” commented nursewithnolife in response to this post. However, this does not indicate new gameplay, since this new studio recently acquired multi-billion dollar IP assets from elsewhere – as WhiskeyCloudsBackup explained further below.

How we will benefit remains to be determined; whether that means DLC for the original game, or sequel. Stay tuned as GAMINGbible provides updates regarding Hogwarts Legacy! As soon as any details arise we’ll notify our readers as quickly as possible.

Hogwarts Legacy can now be played across PC, PlayStation(r) 4TM (PS4TM), Xbox and Nintendo Switch systems.
