New Cryo and Dendro Elemental Reactions Leaked for Genshin Impact
A new elemental reaction combining Cryo and Dendro is set to be introduced in Genshin Impact, according to recent leaks. This new reaction, which has been long-awaited by fans, will likely be tested in the Imaginarium Theatre domain before potentially being added to the main game.
The leak, shared by trusted source HomDGCat, reveals that when enemies take both Cryo and Dendro damage, they will receive a 45% damage buff for those types of elemental damage. A “Frost Thorn” will appear on the enemy, causing continuous Cryo and Dendro damage over time.
There are two possible outcomes when Electro damage is applied to the Frost Thorn:
1. **Path 1:** The DoT (damage over time) converts to electro damage and reduces enemies’ Electro resistance.
2. **Path 2:** The Frost Thorn stops attacking, and instead, enemies will take 135% increased damage from cryo, dendro, electro, and physical sources. Characters also receive a 300 Elemental Mastery buff, particularly benefiting Dendro users.
While this new reaction is still undergoing testing, the fan feedback has been very positive, with many suggesting that it should be implemented outside of the Imaginarium Theatre domain in the future. This reaction could improve the viability of Cryo, Electro, and Physical characters in Genshin Impact, making them more powerful and strategic in combat.
Although this new elemental reaction could take months of testing before it becomes a permanent feature, its addition would not be surprising given Genshin Impact’s recent focus on enhancing elemental interactions.
