Assassin’s Creed Shadows April 2025 Update Brings Major Fixes and Improvements

Ubisoft has released the 1.0.2 patch for *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, packed with important fixes and quality-of-life improvements. The update, available tomorrow, April 8, addresses several player concerns since the game’s release in March 2025, including performance issues and gameplay enhancements.

One of the most significant changes comes to the game’s Hideout area, which previously suffered from frame rate drops. With this update, the Hideout’s frame rate is uncapped in Performance Mode, improving smoothness for players. Additionally, a new item tagging system allows players to sell or dismantle multiple items at once, streamlining the gear management process.

For *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* fans on PS5 Pro, the update adds support for PSSR (PlayStation Super Sampling Resolution), enhancing the visual quality of the game.

A major gameplay improvement is the addition of the auto-follow feature for horses, allowing players to follow the pathfinder line while mounted, making navigation easier. Horses can now also sprint through towns, addressing previous slowdowns in large cities.

Other improvements include mastery node resets for skill trees, faster access to the Investigation Board via a shortcut, and various combat and AI enhancements. The update also addresses several quest bugs, visual issues, and gameplay balance adjustments based on player feedback.

Patch 1.0.2 is available now for Xbox, PS5, and PC players, weighing in at 19 GB on Xbox, 12 GB on PS5, and up to 16 GB on PC. Ubisoft has promised that this patch is just the beginning, with larger updates likely to come in the near future.
