Escape from Tarkov Dev Shuts Down Console Port Rumors
Battlestate Games has confirmed that **Escape from Tarkov** is not coming to consoles anytime soon. During a recent **Tarkov TV** broadcast, COO **Nikita Buyanov** jokingly said the game will launch on the **Game Boy** before it hits consoles—clearly signalling that a console port isn’t planned.
The statement contrasts with previous comments made by the studio, which once considered a console version a future possibility. However, the focus remains on the PC version, with full release set for **late 2025**. The game has been in beta since **2017**, and the upcoming **version 1.0** is expected after **patch 0.16.9.0**, which arrives in **August**.
Before then, fans can look forward to **patch 0.16.6.0** in **May 2025**, which will bring AI improvements, map optimisations, and a new in-game event.
For now, Escape from Tarkov remains a PC-exclusive experience, with no plans to expand to other platforms.
