Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War released on Xbox One too as Xbox Series X, but have different variations. The Xbox One version is recorded at $60, and the”cross-gen” variant is recorded at $70. Since Activision doesn’t use the Xbox Smart Delivery attribute , many players are getting the $60 variant downloaded for their Xbox collection X. The $60 version will be backwards compatible with the Xbox Series X but appears to be broken and causing crashes.

At this time, there seems to be no easy way to upgrade from the $60 variant, but for gamers that know they own the $70 Xbox Series X variant, the problem may stem from downloading the game to an external HDD. Players are reporting that the incorrect version is sent to the external HDD but can be amended by downloading Black Ops Cold War about the inner storage or the discretionary storage growth cards out of Seagate.

Players may be downloading Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War onto outside HDD due to this name’s huge file size. Black Ops Cold War demands a large scale of 135 GB of storage space, and the Xbox collection X includes 802 GB of useable storage space, with the Xbox collection S with a mere 364 GB of storage.

Luckily, if players have the $70 variant, the title can be flashed and re-installed from the inner storage, and the crashes should stop. For players that only own the 60 Xbox One version, hopefully, Activision fixes the game so it may be performed with backward compatibility, or players may wish to think about upgrading to the Xbox collection X version.

The next-gen version of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has noticeable improvements such as the use of this PS5 controller’s haptic feedback triggers and the capacity to run with a higher frame rate and better resolution. With many players encountering issues with variations of the game on Xbox games console, hopefully, Activision will address the issues and possibly combine the Xbox Smart Delivery services.
