Ubisoft’s Avatar Game May Have PlayStation-Exclusive Content
Although Frontiers of Pandora has been around for five years, we still don’t know much about it. This seems strangely appropriate for Avatar, considering the four movie sequels that have been planned for years, but with very little information. The Way of Water seems to be real (it’s currently scheduled for release on December 16th, six years later than anticipated).
Last year we saw the game for the first time at E3 and it was expected to release before April next year. (Chances are, it will be released around the film’s release). According to PlayStation LifeStyle it seems like PlayStation owners might be eligible for some special bonuses.
After revealing a list of upcoming and current games that they have marketing agreements with, Sony announced this and Ubisoft’s Avatar game. PlayStation LifeStyle reports that a similar deal with GTA resulted in GTA being made free for HTML5 users (you can still claim it until June 14th). This makes one wonder if any DLC is being developed for Frontiers of Pandora.
It could also be more to do the exclusive game than the bonus content. Other games included Deathloop as well as Ghostwire Tokyo. The new Avatar game will also be available to Xbox series X/S and Stadia. This could indicate that PlayStation owners might be the first to get it.
It seems like Avatar fans will have a great year. We’ll be watching for updates.
