Players Slam Vanguard Season 4 Weapon Variety
After a disappointing Season 3, players hope the fourth season of post-launch content Vanguard will improve. With the Season 4 update, Sledgehammer Games hopes to revive multiplayer and Zombies.
The arsenal has a lot of new weapons and guns, including the return of Shi No Numa. Many community members are expressing frustration at the latest additions to the game: the Marco 5 and the UGM-8 lightweight machine gun (LMG).
Players are not happy with the addition of new weapons to their arsenals.
Vanguard Players are frustrated by a lack of weapon variety
Many noticed immediately that Season 4 would lack variety after the reveal of the Season 4 roadmap. Three SMGs have been included in seasonal updates throughout the Vanguard cycle. They all act in the same way.
Even with all the new content, it cannot overtake the MP40, which remains the dominant multiplayer meta. Reddit user “Theworldrotates” shared an image that shows similar content from previous seasons to show the lack of variety.
The user states that they don’t need another SMG. SMGs are not the only problem. “Back to back, we’ve gotten similar functions LMGs”, refers to Whitley’s arrival in Season 2.
Other commenters point out that Vanguard doesn’t include a lot of World War II iconic weaponry. Another frustrated player says, “I want the FG-42” and “The Springfield”. “I think Arthur is holding a Lee Enfield box art,” suggesting that there’s more content.
