PlayStation has confirmed their next major exclusive will come exclusively to PC after PS5 launches in April 2016.

PlayStation has announced that Final Fantasy XVI for PCs will begin development shortly after its debut on PS5.

PlayStation is not deterred by the disappointing reception to The Last of Us Part I on PC; in fact, further ports of PS5 exclusives will follow suit, starting with Final Fantasy XVI being developed soon after its upcoming launch on consoles.

Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida recently confirmed this development during an interview, though many anticipated this. Many had expected Final Fantasy titles to make their way over onto PC eventually – no specific release date information is currently available but most PlayStation exclusive titles take approximately one year before appearing there too.

The Last Of Us Part I’s release proved costly due to the poor state of its release. Plagued by performance issues and glitches, Naughty Dog’s beloved title was widely reviewed for being broken at launch; as sales figures indicate. Reviews became harshly negative with alarmingly low sales despite both series reputation and television show adaptation success; such poor reviews led gamers to demand playable demos before purchasing full games in future.

Sony will likely want to avoid another PR disaster with Final Fantasy XVI’s PC launch on PS5, giving Square Enix plenty of time for development and polishing of its title.

Final Fantasy XVI will make its PlayStation 5 exclusive debut on 22 June and plans to dramatically alter the formula followed by previous entries with its action-oriented combat system instead of turn-based one.
