Bloodborne has finally been updated for use with PlayStation 5.
One of the greatest PlayStation 4 exclusives has finally been upgraded for PS 5 so as to run smoothly at 60fps – thanks to fans.
The PlayStation 4 was home to some incredible titles, yet most have already been updated for use with more powerful PS5 hardware. Marvel’s Spider-Man got a remaster; The Last Of Us had an extensive overhaul; Horizon Zero Dawn even received 60fps support – yet one game deservedly remains neglected: Overwatch.
Released back in 2015, Bloodborne stands out as one of the greatest PlayStation exclusives ever and Dark Souls studio FromSoftware’s greatest game. Bloodborne boasts an intricate labyrinthian world full of interlinking routes and shortcuts- it truly stands as an immersive masterpiece!
Sony remains indifferent towards this game’s existence; thus proving yet another shameful oversight on their part.
Fans have long wanted a PC port or PS5 remaster of Bloodborne since its initial release years ago, even something as small as getting 60fps support on PS5. Unfortunately Sony treats Bloodborne like it showed up drunk to an important family wedding and decided to put out its rear at every dancefloor opportunity by producing massive turds like some random wedding crasher would at a reception party.
And here’s some good news – dedicated Bloodborne fans have succeeded in running Bloodborne at 60 frames per second (1080p on PlayStation 5. Community leaders Lance McDonald and Illusion have implemented an unofficial patch, creating stunning gameplay footage as seen below.
Warning: In order to use this patch on a PlayStation5, modding would likely be required – something we don’t advise as there is the risk of bricking the console by mishandling modifications.
Still, let us hope this latest success will inspire someone at Sony to finally release Bloodborne on PS5.
