The Original Story It is the Tomb Raider series is certainly one of the most loved and enduring video game franchises ever created as the main character, Lara Croft.

The first Tomb Raider first came out way back in 1996 on gamers on the SEGA Saturn, PlayStation and MS-Dos. From that point Lara Croft’s Indiana-Jones-inspired adventures have been capturing fans’ hearts over the years.

Since a long time the fans have been begging for the first Tomb Raider trilogy to be updated for today’s. So, Tomb Raider fans, your wishes have been fulfilled. Today, during the Nintendo Direct the announcement was made that the first Tomb Raider trilogy is being restored in one stunning collection. Remasters of the trilogy will be managed by the company Aspyr, which before brought the games of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and its sequel on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.

“Follow the legendary Lara Croft around the world and battle terrifying foes and dangerous legends. Enjoy the classics with upgraded graphics with the option to change to the original design at any point,” reads the description of Tomb Raider III Remastered..

As evident from the announcement trailer The remastered games included within the collection appear as if they’ve been faithful to the original material, while retaining the stunning polygonal visuals. However, they’ve also benefited by a significant improvement in the texture of characters and environments. Also, it appears to be keeping its old-fashioned gameplay as well as a great sound, but we would prefer it to be played in a different way.

Additionally, players can switch at any time between original graphics and the new upgrade. Additionally, the set includes all previous made available DLC and secrets levels which were initially added to those PC port. The expansions are ‘The Unfinished business (T omb Raider) The Gold Mask’ ( Tomb Raider II) as well as The Lost Artifact ( Tomb Raider III).

It’s exclusively announced for Nintendo Switch, but hopefully that other platforms, including PlayStation or Xbox will be revealed at a later time. Tomb Raider III Remastered is scheduled to release on February 14, 2024 which coincides with Lara Croft’s birthday.
