No doubt we all cherish fond memories of playing classic first-person shooters from the 1990s with friends or family – either upon release, or through modern reissues.
GoldenEye 007 remains one of the greatest games ever, for good reason. While its graphics may have aged poorly over time, playing it still provides lots of enjoyable multiplayer action: singleplayer missions can be taken turns on against each other; shootouts, slap fights or competing for that legendary golden gun all provide hours of entertaining gameplay between friends.
Not long ago, this title made headlines when its re-release for Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo platforms made headlines; and now its success serves as inspiration for an Agent 64 spiritual successor title named Agent 64: Spies Never Die.
Replicant D6’s Agent 64: Spies Never Die is an arcade shooter designed to transport players back to the glory days of console shooters with its original campaign inspired by classic Bond stories.
Recently, a trailer highlighting some of the gameplay was unveiled, looking as though time-travel had taken place and transported players directly into their future!
GoldenEye 007’s art style can be found here as closely as possible; complete with its goofy real-life faces printed across models and four player split-screen co-op support – an essential aspect of classic shooters like this one!
There’s currently no firm release date set, but PC gamers can try a free demo version on Steam that takes them through one level and gives an indication of what awaits in full release.
Agent 64: Spies Never Die is scheduled for a release later this year exclusively on PC.
