Visual effects add depth to a game world. Yet, some players find the chromatic aberration in Assassin’s Creed Mirage an annoying distraction – enough so for some of them to want it disabled altogether.
As with other titles, Assassin’s Creed Mirage features the chromatic aberration effect for enhanced immersion, adding a colorful outline around objects in its environment.

At its finest, Ubisfot’s effect would add subtlety and nuance to various scenes; however, many players have reported its aggressive use as being too disruptive and too intrusive for comfort.

Reddit threads have emerged where players express dissatisfaction over Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s implementation of its chromatic aberration effect and the inability of players to turn it off.

One user describes it as disgusting to the point of hurting my eyes,” while another comments that it can be highly distracting.

Unfortunately, Assassin’s Creed Mirage doesn’t appear to provide any way of turning off its chromatic aberration effect; at launch, there wasn’t even an option specifically dedicated to doing this.

Descriptions of existing graphics options do not refer to it either, leaving those looking for alternatives an insufficient solution for their problem.

At present, those affected are waiting for Ubisoft to introduce an option that would toggle or at least reduce its impact on game visuals.

Publisher has not addressed this matter directly yet, but if Mirage is giving you trouble, keep an eye on their social media pages over time for possible clues from them.

Ubisoft Support team recently informed players about an upcoming toggle feature to allow them to turn off an effect; this update should become available with the next patch – solutions are on their way!

While we await an official solution to Chromatic Aberration issues, luckily, the modding community has come through in our time of need. Kamzik123 has created an easy-to–install mod that lets players disable Chromatic Aberration altogether.

According to our knowledge so far, you can turn off chromatic aberration in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. For more on the game and whether or not there are cheats available within it, see our review and any cheat-code lists in it.
