GTA 6 file size has fallen below that threshold but remains vast.
Every passing day without news about Grand Theft Auto VI’s release has led fans to speculate about its size, length and content.
Last week, one Reddit user used map leaks and math skills to estimate how large Grand Theft Auto 6 would be; as predicted, it was massive! Since then, another Reddit user analyzed GTA 6 2022 leaks to see what we missed; she estimated Grand Theft Auto 6’s download size at around 200GB.
“Our dev build was likely around 80GB”, they noted, suggesting they anticipated around 200 GB as its final file size as dev builds often only have specific features active which are currently necessary.” If true, Grand Theft Auto VI may well require significantly more storage than Grand Theft Auto V did when initially launched on Xbox 360 back in 2013 due to today’s higher-powered consoles providing higher video game performance than even during that early incarnation’s 18GB storage requirement at launch time.
This makes sense, considering current-gen consoles had dramaticallymproved video game performance drnce 2013’s 18GB storage requirements required when GTA V was originally made available on Xbox 360 back when GTA V was initially released just two years prior compared with 18GB required on launch day! This should make sense because current-gen consoles have significantly enhanced video game performance over its predecessor with recent-gen consoles providing exponential improvements over its original launch year version in 2013.
Not only can we expect breathtaking graphic performance and a map size 200GB+ in Grand Theft Auto 6, but leaks of 2022 documents hint that its map may contain large bodies of water and its standard landmarks from Vice City. As this title returns fans back home to Vice City we should expect classic landmarks along with the Vice City Metro that spans three lines over 24 stations according to leaks. Furthermore, leaks hint that Mexico and Canada could feature prominently within this version, along with clues about their existence within this game’s map!
A recent analysis of Grand Theft Auto VI’s documents also has unearthed some surprises, such as being able to purchase gumball machines (10/10 game), driving excavators and seeing lions and tigers within its pages – whether or not these claims prove accurate remains yet-to-be-determined; nevertheless, they’ve only added fuel to speculation since Rockstar Games first unveiled Grand Theft Auto VI in February 2022.
