Votes have seemingly been leaked for the Minecraft 2023 Mob Vote.
Now is almost that particular time of year again, as Minecraft Live offers players the chance to participate in its mob vote and select the new creature of Minecraft! In previous years, we voted for Sniffer, Allay, and Glow Squid; though previous losers might wish they’d get another opportunity at polls this year, unfortunately, it seems they may just need to keep dreaming!
Reddit post suggests there has been a leak from Minecraft’s official YouTube channel regarding this year’s mob vote: three beach-inspired creatures designed to liven up game landscapes (and warn players away!). Votes could decide one from three candidates from these beach creatures that might add life or warn against players getting too close.
Minecraft Live will debut on October 15, and in anticipation, its official YouTube channel has shared several teasers for it. One shows fan-favorites Tiny Agnes, Tiny Vu, and Tiny Jens sailing across an ocean with some leaks providing weight for their boat’s leak.
Reddit user Quilavapro31 shared with Redditors an image thatappears to show Minecraft Live 2023 playlist additions not listed publicly – such as voting for Crabs, Seagulls, or Jellyfish as pptions for selections in your roster.
One user, known as “u/First-Ad394,” believed there may have been vote leaks amongst Tiny Agnes’ crew and her companions and proposed how these creatures may appear in future videos as they continue sailing around.
“I imagine how this would go down: A seagull lands on their ship to let them know land is nearby; before arriving, they encounter jellyfish which tell them land lies ahead; finally, they meet crabs on a beach, and their journey continues.”
Previous years have followed a similar format – game developers present their ideas for creatures along with short animations. At the same time, gamers spend several weeks debating and casting votes before an ultimate winner is revealed.
Rarely has there been such a narrow focus for mob votes; previous years provided greater diversity, such as 2022’s three-way battle between Sniffer, Tuff Golem, and Rascal characters. Perhaps this indicates an update that will include beach elements soon – that way, fans won’t need to wait too long before receiving it!
Even if the leaks are false, there’s plenty to look forward to with Minecraft Live 2023. New updates with their blocks and mechanics could be unveiled, while beach themes might see changes that give more meaning than before for finding treasure buried deep underground.
