Hogwarts Legacy surges to top sales charts following Game Awards’s disinvite

Hogwarts Legacy sales have seen an unprecedented boost thanks to Black Friday sales; quickly rising back up the best-seller charts.

Harry Potter-inspired RPG Pottermore was dissed at this year’s Game Awards, not being nominated in any categories. That being said, 2017 brought us some real gems like Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom and Baldur’s Gate 3 plus Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 among other top titles which should all receive nominations at least.

Fans have shown their disappointment over its exclusion, calling its absence unfair and one streamer even made public statements blaming JK Rowling and her drama for its non-inclusion.

However, this game remains one of the top sellers this year and remains available across a number of different platforms, initially Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC for purchase before later becoming Xbox One and PlayStation 4, followed by Nintendo Switch this month.

As Black Friday sales commence, Fortnite Battle Royale has attracted even greater notice, quickly climbing to the top of best-seller charts ahead of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, both recently reaching 5 Million sales figures.

Hogwarts Legacy sales alone don’t guarantee it a spot on the Game Awards ballot; Bethesda’s Starfield IP also was left without Game Of The Year nomination, though fans weren’t exactly taken aback at receiving only one nomination overall for all categories – no surprise there.

Hogwarts Legacy can now be played across Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 PCs and Nintendo Switch devices.
