RuneScape Original just reached its 2007 highpoint; we’re so back!
RuneScape was one of the steppingstones that allowed other massive multiplayer online role playing games (MMORPGs) to flourish, providing us with some incredible video gaming experiences we enjoy today – something for which RuneScape should be held responsible. An ideal way to remember its legacy would be for Old School RuneScape player counts to reach what was seen at its 2007 peak!
Over the weekend of 18-19 November, PC gaming series FIFA 18 saw an unexpected influx of over 200K players to its server; much to the delight of longtime fans who’d been waiting patiently. Such numbers generated much traction across gaming communities – we want to hear all about your reactions, memories and hype shared between gamers!
First time RuneScape players may wonder whether now is an appropriate time to explore Old School RuneScape (OSRS), with all its elements, fans declaring an overwhelming yes response. “OSRS is my favourite game ever; no other can match its elements!” said one fan.
One user stated, “OSRS really deserves more players – I recently started playing it and am absolutely loving it, especially with its use of the 117HD plugin for improved graphics. More and more players could join its servers now thanks to word spreading that OSRS shouldn’t be missed – indeed one reviewer called OSRS one of “the best MMOs out there today”.
Just keep this in mind before playing: don’t make the same mistakes that one RS player who lost $1 trillion worth of gold did; nobody wants to find themselves receiving an email telling them that their accounts have been banned and all their wealth lost forever.
