Focus Home Entertainment has officially confirmed that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will not release until second half of 2024, delaying it from this Winter until sometime during 2024.

Focus Home Entertainment has promised an announcement for Warhammer 2, though its exact release date remains unannounced. On December 7th at Game Awards Trailer will provide more insight into what we can expect in terms of gameplay, accessibility and graphics on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5 and PC with Steam access.

Delaying its release serves a dual purpose; providing players with an unsurpassed gaming experience while giving developers enough time to craft something of the highest quality that exceeds fans’ high expectations of the franchise. Focus Home Entertainment expressed their dedication to producing something exceptional; emphasizing Space Marine 2 as being part of Games Workshop’s iconic license; both previous editions of The Game Awards have served as platforms to reveal information regarding Space Marine 2, making this ceremony likely candidate to reveal release details as well.

Fans had been eagerly awaiting this announcement and their suspicions of delay have been confirmed by Focus Home Entertainment with regards to Saber Interactive’s highly anticipated third-person shooter which is said to have generated significant excitement, garnering over one million wishlists on Steam alone!

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 gaming experience introduces co-op support, enabling players to control two squadmates either via AI or alongside allies.

Space Marine 2 picks up where its predecessor left off: following Titus’ story as Captain Firstborn Marine of Ultramarines Chapter and defeating an uprising successfully in Part 1, new challenges present themselves, including demotion to Lieutenant and becoming Primaris Space Marines.

Players will take control of Titus and his squad of Brother Sergeant Gadriel and Brother Chairon to battle an imminent Tyranid invasion from Hive Fleet Leviathan targeting Kadaku and Avarax Imperial planets, thus demonstrating its co-op capabilities. Equipped with increased speed, strength, and stature Titus must counterattack quickly as Hive Fleet Leviathan suddenly launches an invasion on Imperial worlds such as Kadaku and Avarax from within its ranks.
