Dino Crisis meets Far Cry in this open world dinosaur survival adventure game!
Fans have long awaited an exciting Dino Crisis sequel from Capcom, yet at present no sign can be seen that such an endeavor will ever become reality.
Dino Crisis 3 released on the original Xbox in 2003 was its last numbered entry; though its concept of dinosaur-fighting spaceships may sound exciting, its execution left much to be desired, leading us – 20 years and counting! – without another new Dino Crisis game to look forward to!
Fans have long petitioned Capcom for another Dino Crisis game and since their recent Resident Evil remakes proved extremely profitable, it may happen one day – in the meantime however, what else are we capable of to satisfy that craving for Dino Crisis action?
Ferocious is an indie game developed by OMYOG that may fulfill that need, best described as Dino Crisis meets Far Cry and an open world dinosaur survival adventure. “Fight, Explore and Survive. Ferocious is a first-person shooter that blends sense of wonder about discovering mysterious prehistoric islands with action-packed gameplay” states its description.
Ferocious is an adventure set against a backdrop of timelessness: after being shipwrecked on an unforgiving Pacific ocean ocean floor, players awake to find themselves on an unknown and deadly island where prehistoric creatures and armed mercenaries threaten survival and uncover its dark truth. Fight for survival while exploring treacherous terrains to unlock hidden mysteries hidden deep within Ferocious’ timeless “Lost World” setting.”
Ferocious is touted to be “immersive and visually stunning”, offering an interactive world that features intense combat, weapon customization and prehistoric creatures to battle or make friends with – such as Tyrannosaurus Rex! Just wondering… As of writing, Ferocious wasn’t available for purchase just yet but can still be added as an item on Steam’s wishlist for updates as to when its availability.
Ferocious is currently only available on PC; should it prove popular enough on this platform, we hope it may eventually make its debut on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles as well.
